Solo Cristo Salva
"Only Jesus Saves," announces a small Bolivian Assembly of God church in Quispe, where children of congregation members play in in the yard before nightly services.

Faith Lifts
Child strapped to her back, a Bolivian Assembly of God devotee talks to fellow congregation women during a meeting in Quispe. Poor women throughout Latin America are the first attracted to the regimented life of home-grown Pentecostal religions.

Quiet
Hands raised in prayer, Aymara Indians worship in Villa el Carmen. Tiny churches such as this one high in the Bolivian Andes have a quieter countenance than counterparts in the loud, frenetic major cities of South America.

Aymara
Singing in their native Aymara language, Indian members of a tiny Assembly of God congregation worship in Villa el Carmen. Long disassociated with its North American counterpart, the Bolivian Assembly of God church is now an institution among the country's majority Indian population.

Caretakers
Two caretakers of a small chapel in Quispe proudly stand before their charge.
