A list of the Italian internees at Ft. Missoula and photographs of the detained Italian nationals themselves are in the collection of the Ft. Missoula Historical Museum in Montana. A thousand Italian men, mostly members of the merchant marine and cruise line crew members, were interned by the U.S. Government during WWII.
