Brazil's Pantanal Wetland

A hyacinth macaw -- the world's largest macaw, and an endangered species found only in Brazil's giant Pantanal Mato Grossense wetland, takes flight from a fence at the Fazenda Rio Negro ranch. The wetland, half the size of France, supports one of the most intact arrays of wildlife in the world, despite 200 years of cattle ranching. Subdivision of properties in the region weaken the economic viability of the traditional ranches.
